I was born in Winnipeg, Canada in 1969 moved to  the USA in 1977. I was theyoungest in an all  theatrical family. I was given a job in the  wardrobe department of a well knownn theater in  Philadelphia.  I spent ALOT of time working  backstage and  wanted to be a costume designer.

In 1990 I went to London, England to attend  classes at Central St. Martin's School of Art and  Design. I took a fashion illustration course that I  found quite boring. Most of the classes consisted  of  drawing a live model in various poses. I  needed a change.

I tried to liven up the experience by drawing things a little differently, adding a little personal style. I tried different shapes and colors and did everything opposite from my classmates. After all, the rules are there are no rules! I tapped into a way to express what I was seeing, into what I felt like on the inside. My style was born.

When I left school I was broke, so naturally I moved to New York City! I never went back to art school but I knew what I wanted to do. I did however, find my way back to the theater and have been working as a dresser on Broadway since 1992.

I am currently working on "The Drowsy Chaparone," dressing the Tony Award Winning Star Sutton Foster. Working in the theater is a bottomless well of life, love, and inspiration and it shows in alot of my work. which I find very theatrical.
